Where are the best Barossa Cellar Doors? Well, many of them can be found along Seppeltsfield Road! These include Hentley Farm, 2015 James Halliday Wine Companion Cellar Door of the Year. Hentley Farm, Greenock Creek Wines,Tscharke’s Place, Izway, Rolf Binder, Heritage, Two Hands and Torbreck are just a few of the wineries along the nine kilometres of Seppeltsfield Road where premium Barossa wines, including many famous Barossa Shiraz wines (the variety the Barossa is most famous for) can be tasted. Whistler Wines is a fabulous spot to combine wine tasting with a platter in the gardens under a gum tree, then visit their rescued pet kangaroos! Many of the wines produced in the Marananga/Seppeltsfield/Greenock sub-region of the Barossa are world class.
We have small, single vineyard producers without cellar doors as well as iconic establishments including the historic Seppeltsfield Estate Winery founded in 1851 and Winner of the 2016 Qantas National Tourism Award for Best Tourism Winery, and many medium sized, family owned cellar doors. Barossa wineries and cellar doors include beautifully restored heritage buildings as well as modern contemporary destinations, all with beautiful garden settings that will make it hard to move on to the next place!
